E-mailing Update

We've added a list of spiffy new features to Rexpert's delivery screen to improve both ease of use and the range of things you can do. You've always been able to send documents and images by fax and e-mail to multiple referring providers, lawyers, payors, and organizations, but now you have even more options for referring providers.

The most important change is to allow you to send a fax and an e-mail simultaneously to the same referring provider. This streamlines the delivery process for those who prefer both.

To support this, we've made changes in the referring provider settings to allow multiple delivery method preferences:

If the referring provider would like a copy of the report to be delivered directly to Athena or other interfaces, you can select Interfaces and a list of the interfaces for which your practice is configured will appear. Select the one desired or use Ctrl+click to select more than one at a time. After these preferences are set, when you enter a delivery method other than the one marked as preferred for that referring provider, the offending fields will turn yellow to let you rethink your choice. You'll still be able to continue with the non-preferred option, but it will be easy to identify, so you won't use it by accident.

If a referring provider wants to receive a copy of a report or document via the pre-configured interfaces, check the Send Via Interfaces box, and it will be sent to each interface selected in that referring provider's delivery preferences.

Finally, once you've entered a referring provider code, an edit button will appear for quick access to the maintenance screen in case you need to change any details. Make your changes, save, exit out, and you will be returned to the Delivery screen with any new information already displayed.

These changes and new abilities should make it even easier and more convenient to securely fax, e-mail, or send via interface any patient document or image to anyone who needs to see it.
