Scheduler: Ctrl-D for Co-Pay

A helpful suggestion was submitted via the Feedback Button, requesting the option to view co-pay information in the Scheduler. We are pleased to announce that this feature is already available, and may be accessed in two different ways. Here are the steps to view the co-pay as well as other relevant details about a patient account from the Scheduler:

When scheduling the appointment, enter the Account # of the patient. However, do not press the Enter key on the keyboard. Instead, while the entry is still highlighted, press Ctrl-D to bring up the Account Information screen:

(Note: To perform a Ctrl-D, simply press and hold the Ctrl key on the keyboard and before releasing it, press the letter d on the keyboard. When the new screen appears, release both keys.)

Using Ctrl-D gives you access to many of the details about the account, with the option to drill deeper. On this screen, notice the View Account options to the right. Select the Payors option:

This is just one of the available ways to view many details of any patient in a quick and timely fashion. Another option is available if you want to quickly look up the Co-pay and don't need any other account details. To do this, enter the Account # of the patient or find it using the Lookup button. Once the account is open, click on the Insurance Information button, which will appear to the right of the Paystream field:

The Insurance Information window will appear, allowing you to view the Co-Pay Amount:

At the bottom of this window, you also have the option to click the Switch to Complete View button to open the Account Payors screen. When you find the information you are looking for in Account Payors, exiting that screen will bring you right back to the Scheduler to continue with booking the appointment.

Using Ctrl-Dwill help you quickly obtain many details about an entry in any field. Also, pay close attention to buttons that appear after you have made a selection, because they will often provide more levels of information.
