Windows 7 Loses Support From Microsoft and is No Longer HIPAA-Compliant
As of January 14, 2020, Windows 7 is no
longer supported. This means that Microsoft is no longer providing
technical support, software updates, or security patches. Therefore, it is no longer HIPAA-compliant. This includes machines you use to connect to the Rexpert RTS servers. Contact your IT support for assistance in upgrading from Windows 7 to 10.
On the Importance of Being Earnest… About Using the Log Off
Button
When it’s time to log off for the day, it can be very
tempting to close your session by clicking the X in the upper-right corner of your
window. However, this simple action can cause slowed response times, system
errors, and other technical headaches for users who remain logged in. To avoid these situations, it is necessary and highly recommended to always use
the Log Off button to end your session. Logging out of a session is critical
because it closes all processes still running in the background. Just as you turn your car off when you get home at the end of the day, remember to always take the time to
properly log off from your session by using the Log Off Button.
